Speaker Gunn, House Republicans Qualify for Re-Election

Jackson, MS—Speaker of the House Philip Gunn and Republican House members met at the Mississippi Republican Party Headquarters yesterday to file paperwork to qualify for re-election. The qualifying deadline is February 27 at 5:00 p.m.

“I am proud to stand with my fellow House Republicans as we qualify for re-election,” said Speaker Philip Gunn.  “House Republicans have accomplished many things during this term. Our momentum is strong, and our excitement level is high. I’m encouraged by the support of Mississippians and am hopeful we will have another term to lead our great State as we continue to work on improving education, creating jobs and bolstering our economy.”
